With our busy lives, there isn't always time to do a full shoot. In these cases a quick portrait session can meet your needs. Darling Krista was kind enough to join me for this session. We stopped at the Pike in Long Beach to create some images. Being there at night there was little light and the street lamps were less than ideal. We made the most of it and still came out with some great images. The available light is a sodium vapor lamp, which is a typical street lamp. It gives off a warm yellow-orange color. Rather than correcting this is post, I decided to keep it and play up the warmth by placing the lamp between myself and Krista. This flooded the lens with the light creating a little haze and a decrease in contrast. I think it added something special to the close up portraits. What do you think?
