I had the pleasure of working with my friend Krista recently. She needed some good black and white headshot portraits. Wanting to keep the cost low, we skipped the studio and went with natural light. As we walked through Downtown Disney, I spotted a nice background and wonderful light. Midday sun is rarely conducive to making good portraits but this is what we had to work with. Rather than shooting her in the shade, I decided to use the harsh light to bring attention to her gorgeous hair. The use of the shadow from her hair to alter the light for her face was perfect. We are both happy with the results.
