Dust Abstract Photography

While in studio, I had a chance to work on a new concept. Photographing the randomness of dust being blown in the air.

I started with a handful of baby powder and attempting to throw that in the air. The results were mostly out of focus. I then changed to shooting the baby powder directly out of the plastic container. This proved better at keeping the cloud of dust within the focal range. I look forward to the next time I can try this type of photography. Here are my results. They have been duplicated in mirror image form. Curves adjustment and black and white adjustment were applied. The double exposure is my body in silhouette and the dragon dust image filling in the darkness. The insect image has more duplication and masking but is from only one picture.

I would love to hear some feedback. Thanks.
